IAS officer Sushil Khodwekar Arrested By Pune ​​Police In TET Scam Case

Pune, 29th January 2022: The cyber police station officials of Pune city police today arrested Sushil Khodwekar, an IAS officer in the agriculture department, in connection with Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) malpractice case.

Police arrested Khodwekar from Thane this afternoon. He is a 2011 batch IAS officer.

However, the police had received information that he was also involved in malpractice in the teacher recruitment test, accordingly, he was taken into custody.

According to police, Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 each was taken from 500 ineligible candidates for the results of the examination.

In this case, Sukhdev Hari Dere (61) and GA Software Technologies Director Ashwini Kumar (49) from Karnataka has been arrested. Maharashtra State Examination Council Commissioner Tukaram Namdev Supe, Education Department Technical Adviser Abhishek Savarikar and Sanjay Shahurao Sanap have been arrested.
