IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Pune For Today And Tomorrow
Pune 8th July 2023: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Pune district for today and tomorrow. According to IMD, ‘heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas’ is likely to be reported in Pune district on July 8 and 9.
The rainfall activity is likely to reduce further from Monday in Pune according to weather prediction by IMD. ‘Light to moderate rain’ has been predicted for the Pune district for July 9 and 10.
Ghat areas in the district have received a good rainfall in the last 24 hours. According to official data, 210 mm rainfall has been recorded in Tamhini Ghat in the last 24 hours while 103 mm rainfall was reported in Lonavala and 168 mm rainfall was reported in Shirgaon, Maval. However, the city limits and other parts of the district are yet to receive a good rainfall.
