Pune, 29th September 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of Maharashtra, cautioning residents about possible rain spells on Monday afternoon.

According to the IMD’s nowcast bulletin issued at 1 pm, light to moderate showers are very likely at isolated places over Thane district, the ghats of Pune, and Nashik. The alert will remain valid for the next three hours.

Authorities have urged citizens to take necessary precautions during rainfall and avoid unnecessary travel in affected areas. The IMD has also advised local administrations to remain on alert, especially in hilly and ghat regions where heavy showers could impact visibility and road conditions.

Weather experts noted that such short-duration rain warnings are part of the monsoon retreat phase, which often brings localized thunderstorms and scattered rain across Maharashtra.
