Vadgaonsheri, 29th September 2025: Residents of Sainath Nagar, Vadgaonsheri, have raised serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of the only accessible road to their society, describing it as “riddled with potholes as big as craters on the moon.”

According to local resident Mayank Daga, the road has remained in this state for several months, posing significant risks to commuters.

Daga, whose wife is nine months pregnant, expressed fears about using the road to reach the hospital for checkups, highlighting the danger to both pedestrians and two-wheeler riders. “Will the Pune Municipal Corporation take responsibility if something happens to our baby, or to any biker who meets with an accident while travelling from here?” he questioned.

Residents argue that the lack of timely maintenance reflects broader administrative inefficiencies, leaving taxpayers to bear the brunt of basic infrastructure neglect. Daga further stated that the situation raises doubts about the quality of life and governance in the city, making it difficult for citizens to trust that their safety is a priority.

Attempts to reach the Pune Municipal Corporation for comment on the condition of Sainath Nagar’s road were not immediately successful.
