Important Passenger Advisory for Festivals: Central Railway’s Special Booking Hours

Mumbai, 7th September 2023: In a significant move to facilitate travel during the upcoming festive season, the Central Railway has announced special booking hours for passengers. With the joyous occasions of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 19, 2023, and Deepavali on November 14, 2023, just around the corner, Central Railway aims to ensure a smooth and hassle-free ticket booking experience for all commuters.

On these auspicious festival days, across all five divisions of Central Railway, the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) reserved ticket booking counters will operate under a unique schedule. Specifically, they will open their windows from 08.00 hrs in the morning, welcoming travelers to secure their bookings until 14.00 hrs.

However, in the spirit of festivities and celebrations, there’s a temporary change in the booking counter hours. From 14.00 hrs in the afternoon until 22.00 hrs in the evening, these counters will remain closed, allowing railway staff to partake in the festivities and enjoy the cultural significance of these two remarkable festivals.

This exclusive arrangement ensures that passengers have ample time to plan their journeys and reserve their tickets during the morning hours.
