INCCOM-19 Kicks Off in Pune: A Celebration of Innovation in Composite Technologies

Pune, 30th January 2025: The 19th ISAMPE National Conference on Composites (INCCOM-19) commenced today at the Four Points Sheraton, Pune, bringing together luminaries from R&D organizations, academia, and industry under the theme “Innovative Technologies in Composites.” Jointly organized by Research and Development Establishment (Engineers) [R&DE(Engrs)] under DRDO and the Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (ISAMPE) Pune Chapter, this two-day event is a platform for advancing India’s composite technologies.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Samir V Kamat, Chairman DRDO, in the presence of Prof Prateek Kishore, DG ACE cluster, Dr A Rajarajan, Director, Satish Dhawan Space Center and President ISAMPE and other distinguished delegates and industry leaders. Dr. Makarand Joshi, Director, R&DE(Engrs) and Chairman, Organizing Committee, and Dr Mayur Godbole, Convenor of INCCOM-19, welcomed participants to this landmark event.

With a state-of-the-art Composites Research Center, R&DE(Engrs) has established low-cost out-of-autoclave manufacturing technologies like VARTM and RFI, driving innovation in structural composites for defence and beyond.
