Independence Day gift by Railways to a fellow citizen
Panvel, August 15, 2020: Dolly Sani (25) who was travelling from Kozhikode to Hazrat Nizamuddin by 02617 Thiruvananthapuram-Nizamuddin Special was in labour pain when the train reached Panvel.
She was advised to deboard at Panvel by Station staff who called Dr Vishal Wani from EMR (Emergency Medical Room) Panvel and helped her to deliver a baby at the ladies waiting room. Mother and baby girl are fine.
Both the mother and baby girl have been shifted to a hospital by AJ Khan, Deputy Station Superintendent and the station staff including CCI, TC, RPF, GRP and others. Husband of Dolly Sani was contacted and informed about the delivery who will be reaching tomorrow, a Railway official said.
