Bikaner, 29th January 2024: The inaugural edition of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise, named ‘SADA TANSEEQ,’ commenced today and is scheduled to run from January 29th to February 10th, 2024. The exercise takes place in Mahajan, Rajasthan, where the Saudi Arabian contingent, consisting of 45 personnel from the Royal Saudi Land Forces, collaborates with their Indian counterparts. The Indian Army contingent, also comprising 45 personnel, represents a Battalion from the Brigade of the Guards (Mechanised Infantry).

The primary objective of ‘SADA TANSEEQ’ is to train troops from both nations for Joint Operations in semi-desert terrain, aligning with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. The exercise aims to facilitate the sharing of best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for operations in the sub-conventional domain. This collaboration seeks to enhance interoperability, build camaraderie, and foster mutual understanding between the troops.

Various aspects of military operations will be covered during the exercise, including the establishment of a Mobile Vehicle Check Post, Cordon and Search Operation, House Intervention Drill, Reflex Shooting, Slithering, and Sniper Firing. Through these activities, both contingents will strengthen their bonds and contribute to achieving shared security objectives. The exercise serves as a crucial platform to elevate the level of defence cooperation and enhance bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia, two friendly nations engaged in collaborative efforts for regional security and stability.
