Indian Army foils infiltration by Pakistan Army commandos, kills 5

Srinagar, August 3, 2019 : Indian Army has successfully foiled Pakistan Army’s BAT attempt on night of 31 July/ 01 August 19 in Keran Sector.  The soldiers foiled the attempt inflicting heavy causalities on the infiltrating BAT team.
Four bodies of possibly Pak SSG Commandos or may be some of the terrorists has been seen on our side of Line of Control (LoC), in close proximity of own posts.

Search operations and attempts to recover bodies are being continuously interfered by Pakistan troops deployed in the area. These activities by Pakistan establishes its complicity to terror activities and disrupt peace in J&K.  In Last 36 hours Pakistan has desperately attempted to revive terrorism and push terrorists from JeM and other tanzeems.

Army officials said that in last a few days, four terrorists have been killed in the hinterland. Number of attempts by Pak to disturb peace and target Sri Amarnath Ji yatra has been made. Cache of sniper rifle, IED and mine with POF markings have been recovered.  Security forces will continue to respond to all nefarious activities along LC and hinterland. The response by security forces vindicates the build up in the hinterland.
