Initium 2022 – Flagship Data Analytics Conclave of SIBM Pune
Pune, 28th March 2022: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune successfully conducted the inaugural edition of its flagship Data Analytics Conclave – Initium 2022 during March 2022.
This novel conclave was built around the theme of “creating value through data-driven business transformation” and served as a platform for thought-provoking discussions on pertinent contemporary topics.The event attracted CXOs, Strategists, Technology Evangelists, Entrepreneurs, and Professionals who are pioneering change. The conclave steered discussions and insights and initiated relevant discussions.
The first day of the conclave kicked off with an insightful Keynote Address by Mr. Vineet Shukla, Group Vice President (Head of Data), Mahindra Group. The interactive session helped students gain a perspective on the growing importance and varied applications of data analytics.
The Panel Discussion that followed on the topic ‘Agile and Composed Data and Analytics: Evolving the Analytics Capabilities of Organizations’ had panelists including Mr. Ankit Mogra, Director, Business Intelligence at Ather Energy, Mr. Prashant Momaya, Senior Director of Solution Engineering at Tableau, Mr. Paul Mathew, AI Ethicist & Management Consultant (AI, Data Lakes, CVM), and was moderated by Mr. Viraf Heerjee, Sales Strategy at Godrej Properties Limited and had intriguing discussions surrounding the agile data and analytics models that can amplify opportunities and growth. Leveraging their experience, they also shared how data enables us to question our biases, and tackle challenges in terms of change transformation.
There was also a Fireside Chat on ‘Leveraging Data and Analytics: Opportunities and Challenges’ with Mr. Antrixsh Gupta, Chief Data Scientist, Danalitic and Mr. Ketan Garg, Associate Vice President, Sigmoid Analytics. Eminent thought leaders such as Mr. Vinod Kanthakumar, Associate Vice President, Tiger Analytics, and Mr. Anupam Kumar, Head of Group Data and Analytics India, Ericsson took part in a Fireside Chat on the topic Data and Analytics: A Core Business Function where they spoke about data ownership, real time analytics, a data sharing culture and more.
SIBM Pune is launching a new specialization in Data Analytics to its flagship MBA course in order to continue its tradition of developing industry-ready leaders. With the advent of the Data Analytics Specialization at SIBM Pune, students are expected to develop a strong skill set in data visualization, data management, business analysis, and improvement. The specialization will also help inculcate a keen sense of change management and drive the students onto a path of strategic decision-making using data-related insights to solve problems in the business world.
