International Women’s Day 2025 Celebrated by Pune Division, Central Railway

Pune, 19th March 2025: Pune Division of Central Railway celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajesh Kumar Verma, following the directives of the Railway Board. While the official day was marked on March 8, an extended celebration took place on March 19 at Indrayani Auditorium, DRM Office, Pune, along with events at Daund, Miraj, and Diesel Loco Shed, Ghorpadi.

The event was presided over by DRM Rajesh Kumar Verma in the presence of Swati Verma, President of the Women’s Social Service Organization, and other dignitaries. The program aimed to recognize the contributions of women employees and featured educational sessions and cultural performances.

Knowledge Sessions and Cultural Programs

The celebration included several informative lectures covering diverse topics:

Health & Wellness: Dr. Devyani Shinde conducted a session on “Various Health Issues and their Prevention.”

Financial Awareness & Tax Planning: Financial Advisor Prem Tiwari addressed “Financial Awareness and Tax Saving Schemes.”

Legal Rights of Women: Advocate Asunta Pardhe delivered insights on “Legal Rights of Women in Property Matters, Importance of Documentation, and the Role of Nominees.”

In addition to the knowledge sessions, the Pune Division Cultural Academy organized a vibrant cultural program, showcasing the talents of railway employees.

Dignitaries and Participants

The event was attended by Additional Divisional Railway Manager P.U. Jadhav, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Jitendra Pratap Singh, and other senior officials. Women employees from the DRM Office, Satara-Pune section, and Pune-Lonavala section participated in large numbers, reflecting enthusiastic engagement.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Assistant Personnel Officer Jitendra Singh Meena, expressing gratitude to all participants and contributors for their support.
