IPL 2023: Banglore Bowled Out Rajasthan For 59 Runs

Jaipur, 14th May 2023: Chasing 172 runs by Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals were expected to put up a tough game. But from the first over of the innings, Rajasthan’s performance was not so powerful. The struggle finally came to an end after a 112-run defeat in the 10th over in the 60th match of the season held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. RCB’s bowlers performed brilliantly and the entire Rajasthan team returned to the pavilion for 59 runs.

Wayne Parnell took the most three wickets for RCB. He was well supported by Bracewell, Karn Sharma with two wickets each, and Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell with two wickets each. Hetmyer scored 35 off 19 balls for Rajasthan.

Rajasthan’s dream of reaching the playoffs in IPL 2023 is almost over as Rajasthan lost by 112 runs. RCB has now replaced Rajasthan. With 12 points after six wins in 12 matches, RCB has now reached the 5th position and Rajasthan has reached the 6th position. RCB also took their net run rate into place (+0.166). Rajasthan now have one match left and even if they win, they will have 14 points.

After RCB set a challenge of 172 runs, Rajasthan took to the field to overcome the challenge. But on the second ball of the innings, Rajasthan got a big shock. Their star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed by Mohammad Siraj on zero.

After this, in the very next over, Wayne Parnell also dismissed Jos Buttler for a wicket, and both of Rajasthan’s openers went back to the pavilion. Not recovering from this shock, the team captain Sanju was dismissed for four runs on the fourth ball of the same over by Parnell.

After three batsmen were dismissed in the first two overs, Joe Root and Devdutt Padikkal tried to revive Rajasthan’s innings. But Bracewell dismissed Padikkal for four runs and Wayne Parnell dismissed Joe Root for ten runs. After this, Bracewell dismissed Dhruv Jurel to make Rajasthan 31 for six wickets in seven overs.

After this, Hetmyer hit some aggressive shots to complete Rajasthan’s half-century. But R Ashwin who came to supports him got out on zero. After this, Hetmyer’s 19-ball 35 came to an end. RCB won the match by 112 runs to keep their playoff hopes alive.
