IPL 2023: Faf Du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Harshal Patel Shine as RCB Defeat RR by Seven Runs
Bangalore, 23rd April 2023: In the 32nd match of IPL 2023 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven runs in a thrilling last-over match. RCB fast bowler Harshal Patel shone in the match, taking three wickets for 33 runs in four overs. Devdutt Padikkal scored the highest 53 runs for RCB, while Jurel fought till the end scoring 34 runs in 16 balls.
Earlier, RCB, who batted first, were all out for 156 in 15 overs after a poor start. It seemed that RCB would put up a score of 200 runs, but Rajasthan Royals dismissed four RCB batsmen in the last five overs and restricted them to 189 runs.
Faf Duplessis (62) and Glenn Maxwell (77) put on a 127-run partnership for the third wicket for RCB. For Rajasthan, Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma took two wickets each. Three RCB batsmen were run out in today’s match.
