Mumbai, 16th April 2023: After two consecutive defeats, Mumbai Indians (MI) have won two matches in a row. MI chased down the challenge of 186 runs set by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 17.4 overs for the loss of six wickets. Mumbai’s opener Ishan Kishan scored 58 runs off 25 balls. Suryakumar Yadav, who held the post of captain, also ended his run drought by scoring 43 runs.

 

The 23rd match of this season took place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Indians elected to bowl first after winning the toss.

 

Earlier, Venkatesh lyer, who has recovered from injury showed his extraordinary performance in this year’s IPL. He played a major role in helping KKR reach 185 runs in 20 overs with a 104-run century against Mumbai. He was well supported by Russell scoring 21 runs. From Mumbai, Hrithik Shoukin took two wickets with good batting. Debutant Arjun Tendulkar conceded 17 runs in two overs.
