IRCTC’s Devbhoomi Yatra from Pune Postponed to May 3; Covers 7 Holy Sites, Starts at Rs 18,230

Pune, 17th April 2025: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the launch of a special religious tourism package, “Uttar Bharat Devbhoomi Yatra with Guru Kripa,” originating from Pune on 3 May 2025. Operated under the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train initiative, this 9-night, 10-day tour is priced starting from ₹18,230 for economy class passengers.

The train journey will cover approximately 5,000 km across northern India, taking pilgrims to key religious and historical destinations including Haridwar, Rishikesh, Amritsar, Vaishnodevi (Katra), Mathura, Vrindavan, and Agra. The itinerary includes visits to Har Ki Pauri and Ganga Aarti in Haridwar, Swarn Mandir and Wagah Border in Amritsar, Darshan at Mata Vaishnodevi, Krishna Janmbhoomi and temples in Vrindavan, and the Taj Mahal in Agra.

Passengers can board or deboard the train at multiple stations: Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Bhestan (Surat), and Vadodara.

The tourist train offers three classes:

Economy Class (Sleeper) – ₹18,230
Comfort Class (3AC) – ₹33,880
Comfort Class (2AC) – ₹41,530

The train comprises LHB coaches equipped with a modern kitchen, CCTV surveillance, and security guards in each coach. It will accommodate up to 750 passengers across all categories.

The package includes AC/Non-AC train travel, hotel stays in double/triple/quad sharing, vegetarian meals (onboard and offboard), local transfers, sightseeing in AC/Non-AC vehicles, travel insurance, and the services of IRCTC tour managers.

This initiative supports the Government of India’s vision of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” and “Dekho Apna Desh,” promoting domestic religious tourism.
