IT Company Cognizant Will Do Unprecedented Recruitment In April-June, Now More Than Two Lakh Employees In India

New Delhi, February 18, 2021: The IT Company Cognizant has stated that it is preparing to make unprecedented recruitment in India during the first quarter of FY 2021-22, which includes an initial and experienced workforce. Cognizant India Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Nambiar said recruitment in the first quarter would be “more than ever”. The US-based company has more than two lakh employees in India and is expected to recruit more than 23,000 new graduates in the country this year.
Nambiar told PTI-language, “India has always been, and always will be, a very important part of Cognizant. Cognizant has the largest workforce in India with around 2,04,500 people in 2020. We offer high-quality services in India. Will continue to be the leader in terms of engineering, science, management, and other talent recruitment. “
Expected to appoint more than 23,000 new graduates in 2021
He said the company recruited more than 17,000 new graduates in the year 2020 and expects to employ more than 23,000 new graduates in 2021, a 35 percent increase over 2020. He said that the company is also putting a lot of emphasis on internships
