JET AIRWAYS TO OPERATE BOEING 777 AIRCRAFT ON MUMBAI-SINGAPORE ROUTE TO MEET GROWING DEMAND
Mumbai, July 13, 2016: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will
deploy the Boeing 777-300 ER, the largest aircraft in its fleet, on the Mumbai-
Singapore route resulting in a 50% capacity increase on this key sector.
With effect from August 6, 2016, the Jet Airways flight 9W 12 from Mumbai to
Singapore and the return flight 9W 10 from Singapore to Mumbai will operate on
a Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft. Similarly, flight 9W 09 from Mumbai to Singapore
and the return flight 9W 11 from Singapore to Mumbai will operate on a Boeing
777-300 ER aircraft with effect from August 7, 2016.
The Jet Airways Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft as a three class configuration,
providing guests the option of eight First Class suites, 30 Premiere flat beds and
308 ergonomically designed Economy seats on board the wide body aircraft.
Jet Airways’ capacity increase between Mumbai and Singapore is in response to
growing demand on this sector, particularly from business and corporate
travellers.
With the introduction of the B777-300ER, Jet Airways now offers a consistent
and seamless B777-300ER product right through from Singapore to London and
return via its hub in Mumbai, thus offering its flagship First Class Suites end to
end. Flight timings from Singapore to London via Mumbai are scheduled to
ensure that business travellers and corporate fliers depart Singapore in the
evening to conveniently arrive in London early morning. On the return, Jet
Airways guests have the option to arrive Singapore either in the morning or
evening and also have the option to stop over in Mumbai or Delhi.

more seats on the route, at a time when trade and investment between India
and Singapore is witnessing a healthy growth.”
Boost in cargo capacity
The B777 aircraft with a significantly larger cargo capacity of 26 tonnes, offers
more flexibility in transporting various types of consignments such as
perishables, pharmaceuticals, machinery and industrial goods between Mumbai
and Singapore. Additionally, heavy shipments from Singapore to London
Heathrow, Paris, Dubai and Singapore can now be seamlessly transported via
Mumbai.
Superior inflight experience
The Jet Airways Boeing 777 offers guests a luxurious inflight experience. Each of
the eight First Class suites on the Boeing 777 aircraft features an 81 inch long
bed, a 23 inch flat screen monitor and carefully designed storage areas that
include a personal hanging wardrobe, dual credenza and under ottoman
stowage. Each of these private suites is designed to allow dining for two with a
VIP/Business Jet style table, multiple LED lighting options, variable lumbar
support and an eight point massage system. For those who wish to catch up with
work, the First Class suites provide power source and telephone connectivity.
Guests in the Premiere cabins can travel in comfort in a cabin that creates a
virtual living room, a space to work, rest or entertain. The seat opens out to a
180 degree flat bed with lumbar support and massage system.
Jet Airways economy seats on board the Boeing 777 have a seat pitch of 32
inches, and are ergonomically designed to create the most comfortable economy
seating in the sky.
The Jet Airways Boeing 777 includes a selection of fine food and beverages on
board. It will offer Champagne and wines from around the world including
Bollinger La Grande Annee, served in Rona stemless glassware. The menu
choices are extensive and plated on hand crafted William Edwards porcelain
dinnerware. Jet Airways has also introduced the very delectable, signature Satay
dish as an appetizer on its Singapore to Mumbai flights in Premiere class.
With the airline’s state-of- the-art inflight Panasonic eX2 entertainment system,
guests have the choice of over 1,500 hours of Hollywood and Bollywood movies,
regional films, television and short programming, audio CDs covering a wide
spectrum of music genres.
The Jet Airways Mumbai-Singapore service also offers convenient connections to
Australia and the ASEAN region via Singapore on codeshare and interline partner
airlines.
Guests on incoming flights from Singapore will be able to transit seamlessly on
to Jet Airways’ extensive domestic network as well as travel onward to other
international destinations from Mumbai.
