Jewellery and Cash Worth Rs 9.68 Lakh Stolen in Pune’s Koregaon Park, Vadgaon Sheri, Hadapsar

Pune, 14th December 2024: In a series of burglary incidents reported across Pune, thieves stole cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 9.68 lakh from flats in Koregaon Park, Vadgaon Sheri, and Hadapsar areas. Police have launched investigations into these cases, which occurred on December 12.

In the Koregaon Park area, thieves targeted Atur Park Society on Nailer Road. According to the complaint filed by Amit Satpal Kochar (58) at the Koregaon Park police station, a thief entered the society at midnight while the Kochar family was asleep. The thief gained access to their flat on the first floor through a window and stole jewellery and cash worth Rs 3.5 lakh. Additionally, the thief broke into the office of the Raichandra Group of Companies and another flat within the same society. Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Gaikwad is investigating the case.

In Vadgaon Sheri, burglars broke the lock of a flat in the Somnathnagar area and made away with valuables worth Rs 5.47 lakh. A woman has lodged a complaint in this regard at Chandannagar police station. On the same night, another theft was reported in the Ganeshnagar area, where a thief stole a mobile phone and a ring worth Rs 21,000. This incident was also reported at Chandannagar police station.

Meanwhile, in the Papade Vasti area of Hadapsar, burglars broke into a flat and stole valuables worth Rs 50,000. A complaint was filed by Ritesh Bhimraoji Pise (37) at the Hadapsar police station.
