JITO Games powered by Sperry Group ties up with LAKSHYA to support talented Sportspersons from Jain Community

Pune, 11th May 2022: In a first the sporting wing of JAIN INTERNATIONAL TRADE ORGANISATION (JITO) has announced a tie up with national award winning Sports NGO LAKSHYA to provide training, mentoring and round the clock support to its selected sportspersons from across India in ‘Focused Sports’ nominated under JITO Games Sponsorship Program.

The MOU to the effect was signed on the eve of the JITO Pune Connect held in the city on 8 May, by Apex secretary Games Incharge Manoj Mehta, JITO Games Committee Chairman CA Ajay Jain , Sunil Kumar Nahata Director in Charge, DhirajChhajer Chief Secretary , Past President of Lakshya Vishal Chordia, President of Lakshya Saten Patel and Secretary of Lakshya Sunder Iyer

Manoj Mehta Apex secretary & Games In charge added We aim to have 100 sponsored players by September 2022 and these players will be nurtured to fetch medals in high ranking tournaments.

CA Ajay Jain the Chairman of the JITO Games Committee said that Jain Community has come together to achieve socio-economic empowerment, Jain community welfare, compassion, imparting value-based education and spreading global friendship and spiritual up-liftment.

“ We believe that games and sports are an integral part of human life and aims to promote sports culture amongst Jain sportspersons across India to assist them excel on the National and International Sports level and with this mission and objective we have decided to Join hands with Lakshya “ Mr Jain added.

Mr. Vishal Chordia former President of Lakshya said we at Lakshya truly welcome the initiative of JITO as it is first of its kind community based approach for developing sports amongst youngsters and such an approach will surely help many talented and upcoming sportspersons from the Jain Community enhance their skills and performance in sports and ultimately ensure exceptional sporting contribution of India at the International and Olympic Platform as well as stimulate the overall sports environment in India”.

Mr.Satyen Patel, President of Lakshya said under the agreement, JITO and Lakshya will carry out a talent search programme to search and identify budding Jain athletes/ sportspersons/ players through JITO games or any other, these selected players will be then provided with financial assistance.

Basis such review and scrutiny LAKSHYA shall shortlist and categorize the most promising sportspersons in three Categories – Category ‘A’ Sportspersons performing or competent to perform at International Level , Category ‘B’ Sportspersons performing or competent to perform at National Level , Category ‘C’ Sportspersons eligible for Scholarship to hone the skill, Mr. Patel added .

The Secretary of Lakshya Sunder Iyer added that Names of shortlisted sports persons shall be recommended to JITO together with a category-wise recommendation on the support, training, mentorship and sponsorship required for such shortlisted athletes/ sportspersons/ players.

Basis the financial assistance/ sponsorship provided by JITO, LAKSHYA will organize high performance Training Camps , organize practice sessions in India or abroad for the selected player, depending upon the availability of coaches and number of participants.

LAKSHYA will facilitate and assist the ‘Selected Player(s)’ in procuring world class kits and equipment and provide all round support to the ‘Selected Player(s)’ in terms of travel expenses, insurance visa, accommodation, food, etc. LAKSHYA through its collaborators shall provide guidance and mentoring to the ‘Selected Player(s)’ in the fields of Nutrition, physical fitness, mental & psychological training, behavioural guidelines, etiquettes, physiotherapy, functional body movements, etc.

LAKSHYA through its collaborators from the field of medicine, shall endeavour that the ‘Selected Player(s)’ avoid getting injured and in and also assist to provide rehabilitation and treatment to such injured ‘Player(s).

Vikram Jain, of Sperry Group and title sponsor of JITO Games added the national of ALL India KLJ JITO Games National and EPAC JPL will kick off at Noida in May this year to be hosted by New Delhi Chapter. Lakshya will identify a few talents from the Noida JITO games and will provide 360 degree support to these athletes for up-skilling their game.
