Kamshet’s Youth Unite to Combat Drug Addiction in Essay Contest by Pune Rural Police

Pune, 30th August 2023: An essay competition was organized by the Kamshet Police Station as part of the initiatives “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Meri Mati Mera Desh” and “Sankalp Nashamukti Abhiyan”.

Twelve students from the 12th grade participated in the competition, representing Arts, Commerce, and Science streams of the college. The event was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal and Assistant Superintendent of Police Satya Sai Karthik.

The prize distribution ceremony for the essay competition included the distribution of merit badges and certificates. The “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Meri Mati Mera Desh” event took place at Pandit Nehru Madhyamik Vidyalaya and Junior Kamshet within the Kamshet police station area. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among the youth about the detrimental effects of drug addiction, urging them to commit to a drug-free future for our nation. The event aimed to foster a stronger national spirit and discourage drug addiction.

Police Inspector Ravindra Patil of Kamshet police station, Pune rural police, highlighted the participation of college students, representatives from secondary educational institutions, school principals, teachers, and police personnel in the event. The program was organized with the goal of motivating students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, contribute positively to both the country and society, and cultivate a drug-free environment.
