Katraj, 17th June 2025: The Pune District Cooperative Milk Producers Union, popularly known as Katraj Dairy, has announced a hike in the price of toned milk by ₹2 per litre, effective from midnight on June 16 (Monday–Tuesday midnight).

The decision was taken by the association’s board of directors in response to rising transportation and operational expenses, said Swapnil Dhamdhere, President of the Union.

This is the second price hike by the dairy in recent months. In May, Katraj Dairy had increased the prices of full cream milk and standard milk by ₹2 per litre. However, the price of toned milk had remained unchanged at that time.

With the latest revision, Pune residents will now have to pay more for toned milk:
Toned milk (1 litre): ₹55 → ₹57
Toned milk (500 ml): ₹28 → ₹29
The price hike is likely to impact household budgets, especially for families who rely on toned milk for daily consumption.
