Pune, 1st February 2023: The price of Katraj milk has increased by Rs 2 per litre across all markets as of 1st February thanks to a price increase by Pune Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Limited, which sells milk under the Katraj brand.

According to officials, the board of directors decided to raise the price during a meeting on Monday. The Sangh also raised the cost of purchasing cow milk by Rs 2 per litre at the same time. Dairy producers would receive Rs 37.80 per litre of cow milk starting on 1st February (3.5 Fat and 8.5 SNF).

Coach BSR

Chairman Keshar Pawar elaborated on the causes of the price increase, stating that there are numerous factors at play, including growing milk procurement costs, rising feed prices, and rising transportation expenses. Increased costs for fuel and fodder put dairy farmers in danger. We have decided to raise the price beginning on 1st February 2023 to assist farmers in such circumstances.
