Pune, 22nd December 2025: Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV), the electric mobility arm of Kinetic Engineering Ltd., on Monday announced a strategic technology partnership with Jio Things Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, to introduce connected and intelligent features across its electric two-wheeler portfolio.

Under the collaboration, upcoming Kinetic EV models will be equipped with voice-assisted controls, IoT-enabled smart digital instrument clusters and connected vehicle technologies aimed at improving rider experience, safety and real-time performance monitoring.

The partnership is expected to strengthen KWV’s focus on accessible and future-ready electric mobility tailored for Indian road conditions and user needs.

As part of the integration, Kinetic Watts & Volts will roll out a range of digital features powered by Jio’s IoT ecosystem. These include voice-based vehicle interaction, real-time data-enabled digital dashboards, connected diagnostics, infotainment applications, and telematics-supported analytics for fleet operators.

Jio Things offers an end-to-end IoT platform comprising devices, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, remote management systems and after-sales support. Officials said embedding this ecosystem into Kinetic EVs would enable seamless digital connectivity for both individual users and commercial fleet customers.

The connected mobility platform will be standardised across future KWV models, allowing for scalable upgrades and consistent digital functionality across different vehicle segments.

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., said the partnership aligns with the company’s long-standing focus on practical innovation. “Kinetic has always believed in making mobility simple and accessible. With this collaboration, we are extending that philosophy into digital mobility by offering intuitive voice assistance and connected features that add everyday value for riders,” he said, adding that the initiative builds on the company’s ‘Easy’ feature-led approach to ownership.

Ashish Lodha, President of Jio Platforms, said the partnership reflects Jio’s broader vision for connected mobility in India. “By bringing voice assistance and IoT capabilities to electric two-wheelers, we aim to redefine how riders interact with their vehicles and make smart mobility more inclusive,” he said.

The collaboration is also positioned to support India’s push towards smart, safe and sustainable transportation. According to the companies, the partnership aims to make connected EVs more affordable, enhance rider safety and convenience, improve operational efficiency for fleet operators, and reduce connectivity-related issues through integrated digital systems.

The development marks a new phase in the Kinetic Group’s evolution, which spans over five decades in the mobility sector, from legacy two-wheelers to electric platforms. With the integration of voice-enabled and IoT-driven systems, Kinetic Watts & Volts is set to enter the mass-market connected EV segment, expanding digital features beyond premium offerings and into everyday electric mobility.
