Kolhapur’s IM Sammed Shete Shri wins Maheshwaranand Saraswati Memorial Maharashtra Open Rapid Rating Chess Tournament

Pune, February 19, 2023: IM Sammed Shete of Kolhapur drew his last round with IM Ameya Audi to win the Shri Maheshwaranand Saraswati Memorial Maharashtra Open Rapid Rating Chess Tournament organized by Buddhibal Kreeda Trust and played at Ashwamedh Hall, Karve Road Pune

Playing the Ruy lopez opening the game drew with Ameya Audi to win the event Sammed finished with 8.5 points while Ameya finished the event with 7.5 points

The winner received Rs. 50000 and trophy, while the runner up got Rs. 25000 and trophy and the 3rd prize received Rs. 15000.

The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr.Ashish Desai, Director of Sujanil and Founder member of Lakshya Sports Foundation, Mr.Sunder Iyer, Hon Secretary of MSLTA and Founder member of Lakshya Sports Foundation, Dr Shirish Gandhi Former president of Pune Radiology association and GM Abhijit Kunte, WGM Mrunalini Kunte. Mr.Prakash Kunte, trustee of Buddhibal Kreeda Trust, Mr.Harnish Raja, Mr.Niranjan Godbole, Secretary of MCA and Dr. Sanjay Karwade, Secretary of PDCC.Vinita Shrotri were present on the occasion. Dipti Shidore welcome the guest and proposed to vote of thanks.
