Koregaon Park: turns out to be a new hive for COVID-19

Pune, June 14, 2020: Koregaon Park Home to the Osho International Meditation Resort, is a trendy dining and nightlife hub, with sleek European and Indian restaurants, plus live music bars and buzzy pubs.

Once known as a green zone, it is now turning into a corona hotspot. As of now, 400 more new cases of COVID- 19 are found in the Gadage Maharaj settlement which is just beside the railway line in KP. People residing in this settlement are mainly workers who work in hospitals, which led to the gradual spread of COVID-19.

Also, it is believed that the government’s decision to allow liquor selling amid the lockdown fastened the spread of coronavirus as liquor shops witnessed long queues and people failed to maintain social distancing. Considering the increase in the number of cases swab centers has been developed and testing is done door to door.
