Leopard Found Dead Near Hivre Narayangaon in Pune
Pune, 25th February 2023: A leopard was found dead near Hivre Narayangaon in Pune. The forest department received information about the leopard’s carcass on Wednesday morning. The officials promptly reached the spot and took possession of the dead body.
The cause of death is yet to be ascertained, and the forest department has sent the body for a post-mortem examination. It is speculated that the leopard may have died due to a fight with another animal or due to a fall from a height.
The area around Hivre Narayangaon is known to have a significant population of leopards. In recent years, incidents of man-animal conflicts have also been reported from the region. The forest department has appealed to the locals to be cautious while venturing out in the forest and to inform the department in case of any animal sightings or incidents.
