Baner, 25th February 2023: Pune residents in the Aundh-Baner-Balewadi-Pashan-Sus-Mhalunge area will soon have direct access to water from the Warje Water Supply Centre. Following numerous requests to the municipal administration, the pipeline from Warje at Chandni Chowk will now be connected directly to the Pashan Pumping Station. The current pipeline work is expected to resolve the ongoing issue of artificial water shortages in Baner-Balewadi, Pashan, and Sus-Mhalunge.

Former corporator Amol Balwadkar welcomed the decision, saying that it would provide much-needed relief to the citizens. He also noted that ongoing efforts are being made to monitor all systems that supply water to the area in accordance with the instructions of Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil.

The direct connection to the Warje Water Supply Centre is expected to eliminate the need for the Chandni Chowk tank, ensuring a more efficient and reliable water supply. While the pursuit of a long-term solution to the artificial water shortage will continue, this pipeline work represents an important step forward in addressing the issue.
