Lohgaon, 10th April 2026: Amid persistent water scarcity in the Lohgaon area, MLA Bapusaheb Pathare convened a review meeting with officials of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and local representatives to assess the existing water supply system and expedite ongoing infrastructure projects.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on current challenges, pending works, and future requirements related to water supply in Lohgaon. Officials presented an overview of the existing system, highlighting bottlenecks affecting regular water distribution in the rapidly growing locality.

Following the meeting, Pathare conducted an on-site inspection of the proposed location for a new water storage tank near Water Park Road. He instructed officials to take necessary steps to ensure the project is executed efficiently, noting that the new tank would help streamline and strengthen water supply in the surrounding areas.

A review was also conducted of ongoing water tank projects at Harnatale, Lohgaon Market Yard, Pawar Vasti crematorium area, Lohgaon EV bus depot, and Nimbalkar Nagar. The MLA directed officials to accelerate the pace of work and ensure timely completion so that residents can benefit at the earliest.

The discussion also covered the extensive pipeline network work underway in Lohgaon. Emphasis was laid on strengthening the distribution network to address supply disruptions and improve overall efficiency.

“Resolving Lohgaon’s water issues is our priority. We are consistently following up with the administration to ensure residents receive regular and adequate water supply. Through long-term measures, this issue will be resolved,” Pathare said.

Among those present were corporators Aishwarya Pathare, Ramdas Dabhade and Pritam Khandve, along with PMC officials including Superintending Engineer Virendra Kelkar, Executive Engineer Eknath Gadekar, Deputy Engineers Sunil Mule and Rajendra Nagare, and Junior Engineers Amruta Khade and Shubham Ghatkar, as well as local residents.
