Lonavala: COVID19 Vaccination Programme For Healthcare Workers Begins At INS Shivaji
Pune, January 25, 2021: INHS Kasturi conducted Covid -19 vaccination programme for healthcare workers of Station Lonavala on 24 January.
Indian Naval Hospital Ship Kasturi is a basic speciality hospital of Southern Naval Command located in INS Shivaji establishment, Station Lonavala; providing specialist services to INS Shivaji and Airforce station at Lonavla.
55 of the 150 health care workers including support staff of the hospital and Station Lonavala were prioritised as beneficiaries for vaccination in phase 1 of the vaccination drive. All vaccinated beneficiaries will be given the second dose after 28 days and would be issued with a certificate as per extant policy.
The vaccination session was inaugurated by Cmde Ravnish Seth, Station Commander Lonavala in presence of Surg Capt Athar Mohd, CO INHS Kasturi.
All beneficiaries were apprised of the safety and benefits of the vaccine and provided handouts on the same. The programme was tele-monitored by Tehsil Health Officer (Maval), who appreciated the preparedness for the vaccination drive by INHS Kasturi.
The event was conducted adhering to social distancing norms and other COVID related precautions.
