Lonavala Tops Rainfall Chart; Light Showers Expected in Pune City Till June 29

Pune, 24th June 2025: The monsoon showers continued to lash parts of Pune district over the last 24 hours, with Kurvande in Lonavala recording the highest rainfall at 162 mm as of 9 AM on Tuesday.
According to data released by local authorities, ghat regions received significantly more rainfall than the city areas, reinforcing the Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast of heavier rains in hilly terrain.
Other regions that received substantial rain include Girivan (105 mm) and Bhor (90 mm), indicating active monsoon conditions in the western parts of the district.
