Camp, 9th October 2026: Indian craftsmanship, traditional textiles and regional food are among the major attractions at the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat – Fashion and Lifestyle Expo 2026’, being held at the Poona Club in Pune’s Camp area from October 8 to 11.

Organised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the National Jute Board under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and Shikha’s Karigari, the four-day exhibition brings together artisans, entrepreneurs and stall owners from across the country. With Dussehra and Diwali approaching, the expo offers visitors an opportunity to explore traditional handicrafts, festive decorations, clothing, jewellery and gift items.

A fashion show held on Friday evening was one of the main attractions of the exhibition, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience. Around 14 models participated in the show, which featured handmade outfits showcasing the work of Indian artisans.

Among the dignitaries present were Shashi Bhushan Singh, Secretary and CEO of the National Jute Board; Dheeraj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune; Santosh Ajmera, Vice-Chancellor of the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata; Malay Chakraborty, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts; Chandan Pungaliya, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax; and Shikha Ajmera, Director of Shikha’s Karigari.

The exhibition features more than 110 stalls showcasing handloom textiles, traditional handicrafts, fashion and lifestyle products, jewellery and home decor items. Visitors can also explore festive decorations and gift options for the upcoming Diwali celebrations. Decorative and artistic products made from cow dung have also attracted attention.

Regional Food and Women Entrepreneurs
The food section offers a glimpse of India’s diverse culinary traditions, with products made from jowar (sorghum), ragi (finger millet), bajra (pearl millet) and wheat. Products advertised as being free of maida (refined flour), along with regional delicacies and zero-oil food options, are also available.

Women entrepreneurs form a significant part of the exhibition, with many showcasing products they have developed and crafted. The event aims to provide a platform for artisans, designers and entrepreneurs while promoting Indian handicrafts, traditional skills and locally made products.

Two Days Left to Visit the Expo
With the exhibition scheduled to conclude on October 11, visitors have two days left to explore the stalls and shop for festive essentials, handloom garments, traditional handicrafts, eco-friendly decorations, jewellery, gifts and regional food products.

The organisers have appealed to Pune residents to visit the exhibition with their families and support artisans and women entrepreneurs by exploring and purchasing their products.
