Love Turns Stalker: Pune Police Investigate Unsettling GPS Tracking Incident
Shukrawar Peth, 19th February 2024: It has come to light that a young lady was pursued by a GPS device on her two-wheeler without her awareness, owing to unrequited affection. In this instance, the Vishrambaug Wada Police Station has initiated legal proceedings against a young man from Baramati. The identified individual is Lakhan Mahadev Bhise, aged 25, and a resident of Pimpli, Baramati.
In connection with this matter, the young lady has filed a complaint at the Vishrambaug Wada Police Station. The complainant resides in a society in Shukrawar Peth. The accused, Bhise, harboured unreciprocated affection for the young woman. He surreptitiously installed a GPS device on her bicycle to monitor her activities.
He persistently observed the young lady, engaging in stalking behaviour. The girl became aware of this situation, prompting her to report the matter to the police. Police sub-inspector Swati Bhorad is currently conducting the investigation.
