Madhya Pradesh: Night Curfew Imposed In 5 Cities As More than 1,500 New COVID Cases Reported In One Day

Bhopal, November 21, 2020: After Diwali in Madhya Pradesh, the ever increasing cases of corona frightened once again on Friday when more than 1,500 cases were reported in a single day. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan made it clear that lockdown would not be imposed again in the state, but it was has been decided to impose night curfew in five cities.

This is the biggest jump in Corona cases so far in November, when a total of 1,528 new Corona cases were reporte. In the last 24 hours, nine people have also died from Corona. In Madhya Pradesh, the death toll from Corona has risen to 3,138.

Seeing the danger of corona, the Madhya Pradesh government took a big decision on Friday and announced a night curfew in five cities of the state including the capital Bhopal.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra tweeted and informed that ‘Night curfew will remain in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ratlam and Vidisha due to rapid increase in corona infection from Saturday, 21 November until further orders. The curfew will be from 10 pm to 6 am. This will continue until infection cases are reduced.”

He said that the movement of cargo vehicles will continue during the night curfew in these cities. Workers working in the factory will also be able to come and go. There will be no restriction on them.

The total cases of corona in Madhya Pradesh have increased to 1,89,546. The most impact of Corona is in Indore and Bhopal. While 313 new cases have been reported in Indore, 378 new cases of Corona were registered in Bhopal.
