New Delhi, 29th December 2024: In the 117th episode of his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the unparalleled significance of the forthcoming Maha Kumbh, calling it a symbol of unity in diversity. He highlighted how the event, set to take place in Prayagraj, brings together crores of people, lakhs of saints, and thousands of traditions, reflecting the essence of Indian culture.

“The specialty of the Maha Kumbh lies not just in its vastness but also in its diversity. At this sacred gathering, there is no discrimination—no one is big, no one is small. It truly exemplifies the mantra of unity in diversity,” said PM Modi. Urging citizens to participate with a resolve for unity, he remarked, “Maha Kumbh Ka Sandesh, Ek Ho Poora Desh” (The message of Maha Kumbh is to unite the entire nation). He further added, “Ganga Ki Aviral Dhara, Na Bante Samaj Hamara” (Like the uninterrupted flow of the Ganga, let our society remain undivided).

Digital Maha Kumbh to Enhance Devotee Experience

PM Modi unveiled that for the first time, the Maha Kumbh will feature cutting-edge digital solutions to assist devotees. Key highlights include:

  • AI Chatbot Assistance: Available in 11 Indian languages, the chatbot will provide real-time information about ghats, temples, akharas, parking spaces, and accommodations. Devotees can interact with the chatbot through text or voice.
  • AI-Powered Cameras: The entire fairground will be monitored with AI cameras to ensure safety and help locate missing persons. A digital lost-and-found center will also be operational.
  • Navigation and Tour Packages: Digital navigation tools will guide devotees across the event areas, while government-approved tour packages, accommodation, and homestay options will be accessible through mobile apps.
  • PM Modi encouraged visitors to make use of these facilities and share their experience with the hashtag #EktaKaMahakumbh.

Global Spotlight on Indian Culture

The Prime Minister also shared a heartwarming example of India’s cultural influence abroad. He spoke of a 13-year-old differently-abled girl from Egypt who created a remarkable painting of the Taj Mahal using her mouth. This was part of a competition in which 23,000 Egyptian students showcased their artistic interpretations of Indian culture and historical ties between the two nations. Commending their creativity, PM Modi said, “No amount of praise for their efforts would be enough.”

The Maha Kumbh is not just a religious event but a cultural phenomenon that showcases India’s rich heritage while embracing modern technological advancements. With these innovations, the upcoming Maha Kumbh is set to offer a seamless and inclusive experience for devotees from across the globe.
