Maharashtra: 8240 fresh COVID patients, 5460 discharged

Mumbai, July 20, 2020: A total of 5460 patients were discharged while 8240 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra today. Today, 176 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.77%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 3,18,695 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

 

According to the health department, 1,75,029 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.77%. As of today, there are 1,31,334 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 54.92% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.77%. Currently, 7,65,781 people are in home quarantine and 45,434 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Out of 16,00,667 laboratory samples, 3,18,695 have been tested positive (19.91%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,118,043 across the country. Out of this, 7,00,086 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 27,497 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 390,459 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
