Pune Smart City launches Pune Telemedicine app to connect COVID patients with doctors
Pune, 20 July 2020: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today launched ‘Pune Telemedicine’ mobile phone app to connect Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients to doctors. This app is expected to benefit home isolated patients.
Under the Smart City Mission, Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) jointly with PMC engaged a reputed systems integrator Oasys Cybernetics Private Limited to automate the entire public health administration, delivery, and monitoring of all such services (through hospitals, dispensaries, and clinics as described below) within the city by deploying Health management information system (HMIS).
Telemedicine is one of the modules implemented first among HMIS, considering global (COVID-19) pandemic situation. This solution consists of a secured Web URL for Doctors and an App named “AROGYA-DHEER” for patients in compliance with all HIPPA norms including secure, convenient and collaborative virtual consultation providing remote care to patients.
Purpose: The purpose of OASYS’s Telemedicine solution is to facilitate patients for faster access to healthcare and can easily connect with Doctors for any of their queries especially related to COVID-19 in the current pandemic scenario. This helps to improve Doctor-Patient engagement and better outcomes virtually.

Who and How to Use: Tentatively 100 plus doctors (PMC and Private Hospitals) will be available for Tele-consultation (Video & Audio) with patients for any queries related to pre and post COVID-19 Management.
A Quick User Guide for both Patient & Doctor is available in both English & Marathi language, which helps the user to navigate step by step on how to use the App and web URL.
