Maharashtra cabinet gives nod to set up CoEP’s extension centre at Chikhali

Pune, 26 March 2021: The Maharashtra government has decided to allocate 11.30 hectares of government land to the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) for setting up an extension centre at Chikhali in Haveli taluka.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The cabinet has approved to set up eight excellence and development, and research centres, as well as an innovation park at the extended centre of the institute.

All the courses offered there will be run by the institute on a permanent, non-subsidized, and self-financed basis.A one-time fund of Rs150 crore has been sanctioned for the equipment and construction of the centre in the next three to four years.
