Maharashtra CM Appoints Senior Officers to Oversee Development of State’s 5 Jyotirlingas; Bhimashankar in Pune Included

Mumbai, 6th August 2025: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has appointed senior officials to supervise the development plans for the state’s five Jyotirlingas. These officers will regularly review the progress of the ongoing work and report directly to the CM. The aim is to ensure that the development projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

The appointed officials are:
– Additional Secretary V. Radha of the General Administration Department for Bhimashankar, Pune

– Additional Chief Secretary B. Venugopal of the Higher and Technical Education Department for Ghruneshwar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar

– Principal Secretary Saurabh Vijay of the Finance Department for Aundha Nagnath, Hingoli

– Principal Secretary Richa Bagla for Parali Vaijnath, Beed

– Secretary Appasaheb Dhulaj of the Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department for the remaining Jyotirlingas

A state official said this is the first time senior officers have been appointed specifically to oversee the execution of development plans for these sacred sites.
