Maharashtra COVID report: 13,165 new cases, 346 deaths today

Mumbai, Aug 19, 2020: A total of 9011 patients were discharged and 13,165 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 2688 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 346 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.35%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 6,28,642  informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 4,46,881 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.35%. As of today, there are 1,60,413 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 71.09% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.35%. Currently, 11,62,450 people are in home quarantine and 37,094 people are in institutional quarantine.

Out of 33,37,848 laboratory samples, 6,28,642 have been tested positive (18.83%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,767,273 across the country. Out of this, 2,037,870 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 52,889 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 676,514 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
