Maharashtra COVID report: 16,408 new cases, 7690 discharged today

Mumbai, Aug 30, 2020: A total of 7690 patients were discharged and 16,408 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1658 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 296 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.13%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 7,80,689 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

 

According to the health department, 5,62401 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.13%. As of today, there are 1,90,548 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.04% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.13%. Currently, 13,09,676 people are in home quarantine and 35,373 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Out of 40,84,754 laboratory samples, 7,80,689 have been tested positive (19.11%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,542,733 across the country. Out of this, 2,713,933 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 63,498 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 7,65,302 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
