Maharashtra COVID report: 17,066 new cases, 257 deaths today

Mumbai, Sep 14, 2020: A total of 15,789 patients were discharged and 17,066 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1100 new cases were reported in Pune City today. Today, 257 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.77%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 10,77,374 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 7,55,850 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.77%. As of today, there are 2,91,256 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 70.16% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.77%.

Currently, 17,12,160 people are in home quarantine and 37,198 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 53,21,116 laboratory samples, 10,77,374 have been tested positive (20.02%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 48,46,427 across the country. Out of this, 37,80,107 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 79,722 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 986,598 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
