Maharashtra COVID Report: 19,164 New Cases , 459 deaths today
Mumbai, Sep 24, 2020: A total of 17,184 patients were discharged and 19,164 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1512 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 459 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.68%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 12,82,963 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 9,73,214 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.68%. As of today, there are 2,74,993 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 75.86% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.68%.
Currently, 18,83,912 people are in home quarantine and 33,412 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 61,90,389 laboratory samples, 12,82,963 have been tested positive (20.72%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,732,518 across the country. Out of this, 4,674,987 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 91,149 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 966,382 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
