Maharashtra COVID Report: 21,656 New Cases, 405 Deaths Today

Mumbai, Sep 18, 2020: A total of 22,078 patients were discharged and 21,656 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1891 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 405 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.72%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 11,67,496 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 8,34,432 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.72%. As of today, there are 3,00,887 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 71.47% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.72%.

Currently, 17,78,792 people are in home quarantine and 36,767 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 56,93,345 laboratory samples, 11,67,496 have been tested positive (20.51%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,214,677 across the country. Out of this, 4,112,551 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 84,372 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 1,017,754 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
