Pune City: 1891 New COVID Cases, 44 Deaths Today

Pune, September 18, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1936 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1891 new patients were detected while 44 people died today. Today swab samples of 6289 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 128,423 out of which 108,123 have been cured while 3007 have died. There are still 17,293 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 961 critical patients out of which 493 are on ventilator support.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,214,677 across the country. Out of this, 4,112,551 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 84,372 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 1,017,754 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
