Maharashtra COVID Report: 21,907 New Cases, 425 Deaths Today

Mumbai, Sep 19, 2020: A total of 23,501 patients were discharged and 21,907 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1658 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 425 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.71%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 11,88,015 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 8,57,933 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.71%. As of today, there are 2,97,480 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.22% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.71%.

Currently, 18,01,180 people are in home quarantine and 39,831 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 57,86,147 laboratory samples, 11,88,015 have been tested positive (20.53%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,308,014 across the country. Out of this, 4,208,431 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 85,619 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 10,139,64 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
