Maharashtra Elections 2024: Kalate Files Nomination for Chinchwad Assembly Seat with Strong MVA Support

Wakad/Chinchwad, 29th October 2024: Rahul Kalate, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidate representing the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) faction led by Sharad Pawar, formally filed his nomination for the Chinchwad Assembly seat on October 29 (Tuesday).

A large rally of supporters accompanied Kalate as he submitted his nomination papers to Election Officer Anil Pawar. Key leaders, including MP Amol Kolhe, Congress Committee Secretary Prithviraj Sathe, and NCP city president Tushar Kamathe, were among the many prominent figures present, alongside a host of former corporators, youth leaders, and party workers, reflecting the coalition’s united front.

The day’s events kicked off with a visit to the Shri Mhatoba temple, where Kalate and his supporters sought blessings. The rally moved through major areas of the city, including Wakad Chowk, Datta Mandir Road, Pink City, and Chhatrapati Chowk, as well as Kalewadi Phata, Rahatni Phata, Tapkir Chowk, Keshavnagar, and Thergaon village.

Following the filing of his nomination, Kalate addressed the enthusiastic crowd, expressing his deep appreciation for the trust and encouragement shown by MVA leaders and the people of Chinchwad.

“Chinchwad deserves a leader who can drive development and focus on long-term growth,” Kalate said. “The MVA has a strong voter base here, and I am committed to working alongside all alliance partners to deliver on our shared vision for the future. Together, we can address the issues that matter most to the people and ensure Chinchwad’s progress for decades to come.”

Kalate also reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the leadership of Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray, stating, “Our goal is to strengthen the legacy of MVA and fight for Maharashtra’s pride and values.”
