Maharashtra State Board Extends Deadline for Class 12 Exam Applications

Pune, 30th October 2024: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has extended the deadline for submission of applications for the Class 12 exams, scheduled for February-March. The new dates allow students to submit applications from 31st October to 10th November with the regular fee, and from 15th to 22nd November with a late fee.
State Board Secretary Devidas Kulal announced the extension in a press release. Applications for regular Class 12 students are to be filled out online. Initially, the deadline was set for 30th October for regular students enrolled in business courses, re-examinees, students who have received enrollment certificates, private students, those taking exams under the grade improvement scheme, as well as students taking examinations with occasional or ITI subjects. Junior colleges were responsible for ensuring application submission by this date.
However, the State Board has now decided to extend the deadline. Schools and junior colleges are required to submit student lists along with challans and pre-lists to the Divisional Board by 27th November.
Additionally, private students have been granted an extension to file their applications with late fees for both Class 10 and Class 12 exams. It was clarified that private students must pay a late fee of ₹20 per day, with the option to submit applications online from 31st October to 31st December. Boys and girls who are no longer in school but have passed at least Class 5 are also eligible to take the Class 10 and Class 12 exams as private candidates.
