Mumbai, 28th June 2022: Amidst the political turmoil in Maharashtra, the floor test is now almost fixed. Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis has met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and demanded a floor test at the earliest.

At the same time, sources say that eight independent MLAs have also sent an email to the governor demanding a floor test.

According to media reports, after meeting Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that he has said that in the current situation 39 MLAs of Shiv Sena are out and they are constantly saying that they do not want to be with NCP and Congress. This means that they do not want to support the government. That’s why the government looks like a minority. Therefore, the Governor has been requested to immediately ask CM Uddhav Thackeray to prove his majority.

It is believed that before July 11, a no-confidence motion is being brought against the government in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. BJP has made all the preparations for this. The BJP has asked all its MLAs to stay in Mumbai for a few days.

Eknath Shinde called an emergency meeting

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda also met shortly before Devendra Fadnavis’s meeting with the Governor. At the same time, the Shinde faction has also held an emergency meeting with the MLAs during the night itself.
