Maharashtra Govt Launches Citizen Survey to Shape Vision 2047 Development Roadmap

Pune, 20th June 2025: In a move to shape the vision for a developed Maharashtra by the year 2047, the state government has launched a statewide citizen survey to gather opinions, expectations, and priorities from the public across 16 key sectors. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar has appealed to all citizens to actively participate in this initiative by scanning the provided QR code or visiting https://wa.link/o93s9m to submit their inputs.

Dr. Pulkundwar assured that no personal information of respondents will be collected as part of the survey.

The initiative is aligned with the Government of India’s vision of a Developed India by 2047 (India@2047), launched during the nation’s Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Maharashtra has set ambitious goals to elevate its economy to $1 trillion by 2029 and $5 trillion by 2047, making public participation crucial in realizing these targets.

To accomplish this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a 150-day action plan from May 6 to October 2, 2025, which includes preparing a comprehensive Vision Document.

16 Sectoral Working Groups
To draft this vision, sector-specific working groups have been formed across the following domains:
-Agriculture
-Education
-Health
-Rural and Urban Development
-Land and Water Resources
-Infrastructure
-Finance, Industry, and Services
-Social Development
-Security
-Soft Power
-Technology and Human Resource Management

These groups will prepare short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals based on the principles of progressiveness, sustainability, inclusivity, and good governance, in consultation with experts and institutions.

Chief Minister’s Directive
The Chief Minister has instructed all Commissioners, District Collectors, CEOs, and village-level officers to prominently display banners and boards at public offices, urging citizens to participate in the survey and contribute to Maharashtra’s development roadmap.
