Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh Celebrates New Year With Pune Police, Listens To Complaints Of People At Control Room

Pune, January 1, 2021: Maharashtra State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh welcomed the New Year by cutting a cake in the presence of officers and staff at the Pune Police Commissionerate.

He also interacted with the staff over the wireless and wished them well. He went to the control room and listened to the complaints of some people. He said that the police were tired but not discouraged.

Deshmukh took some calls while celebrating the New Year at the Pune Police Commission office in Camp. While a citizen had called to complain that loud songs were being played in the society premises, Deshmukh informed him that he would lodge his complaint with the nearest police station. The citizen was surprised by having direct interaction with the Home Minister.

Anil Deshmukh: Hello Hello, I am Home Minister Anil Deshmukh talking. What is your complaint? What is the name of your society?

Complainant: Sir, I am speaking from the Shivsagar Society area near Sun City. Loud songs are playing on the premises of our society.

Anil Deshmukh: I will immediately lodge a complaint with the nearest police station. What’s your name

Complainant: My name is Indranil Apte.

Anil Deshmukh: I would inform you about this complaint and wish you and your family a very Happy New Year

Police were tired but they did not give up

“Our police have been working for the last ten months. Our police must be tired. But the courage is not lost. Even in this situation, the police are working to maintain law and order. We are hopeful that we all want to work towards becoming corona free this year. We also hope that Maharashtra will be free of coronavirus soon, ”said Anil Deshmukh.

Attempts will be made to pass the Shakti Act in the March session

“The incidents of violence against women is rising, the accused should be punished as soon as possible. In this regard, we are bringing the law of Shakti. We will try our best to bring the Shakti Act in the assembly session in March and pass it”, informed Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
